Our mission

Good food belongs on a plate, not in a bin.

We connect you with local cafés, bakeries and shops selling their unsold food at the end of the day — great meals for a fraction of the price, and nothing wasted.

The European Union wastes roughly 160,000 tonnes of food every single day — more than 58 million tonnes a year, about 130 kg per person. Households alone create over half of that daily total (53%), and the rest comes from manufacturing, retail and food service. DisFood exists to move that food onto plates instead of into bins.

Sustainability

Eating well and wasting less are the same action.

Nothing edible in the bin

Every listing is a real product that was already made, already paid for, and one hour away from being thrown out.

Lower emissions per meal

Rescuing a portion avoids roughly 2.5 kg of CO₂e — the farming, transport and packaging behind it don't go to waste either.

Cheaper food, more customers

Save food from being waster, and save money while you're at it. DisFood is free to use for both cafés and customers.

Turn what's left over into new customers.

List the items you still have, set a pickup window, and let DisFood sell them. No listing fees, no fixed contracts, no wasted stock.

Question? We might've already answered it

Do I know what I'm buying?

Always. Cafés list each item individually — the croissant, the bowl, the slice of cake — with its normal price, its discounted price and some info.

Why is it so cheap?

Because it's the end of the day. Food that's fresh now but unsellable tomorrow gets marked down instead of binned, so the café recovers cost and you eat well for less.

How much does it cost?

DisFood itself is free to use. Sign up, use in the browser or add to home screen.

I own a café. Can I join?

Yes. List your leftover items in seconds, set a pickup window, and turn surplus into revenue instead of waste. For free.

Hungry? Start rescuing.

Free to use. Your first order usually pays for itself twice over.
